The 61st edition of the Miss World pageant took place at the Earls Court Two on November 6, 2011 in London. Alexandria Mills crowned her successor, Ivian Sarcos from Venezuela. Completing her royal court are 1st runner up, Gwendoline Ruais (Philippines) and Amanda Vilanova (Puerto Rico.)

Continental Queens of Beauty
Africa: South Africa - no competiton as Zimbabwe failed to make the top 7.
Caribbean: Puerto Rico - no competiton as US Virgin islands was ousted from the top 7.
Americas: Venezuela - no competition at all from Top 15.
Asia Pacific: Philippines - beating Korea from their Top 7 position.
Europe: England - beating Scotland from their Top 7 position.
Interesting observation:
One of the last segments of the pageant was to interview the seven finalists with the help of their room mates but an impromptu changed seemed to have happened due to Miss Venezuela started delivering her speech when asked to comment why she loved to drink tea.
None of the Fast Track event winners were part of the Final three.
